The Internet Can Be Good For Your Health
Studies show that the internet can be good for older adults! According to the Pew Research Center, internet use among individuals 65 and older grew 150 percent between 2009 and 2011, the largest growth in any demographic group. Several recent studies show that the world wide web is an important tool in reducing loneliness and other depressive symptoms in older adults. We at Generations firmly believe that access to the internet and social media helps keep our elders engaged and connected - especially if they aren't as mobile as they used to be. So if your loved one isn't already online, you may want to consider getting them up and running.
