TESTIMONIALS
Sonja has worked with my Mom now for about five years. She has made an enormous difference in her life. Sonja challenges her to think and participate in conversations. She also motivates her to walk and move. During the COVID lockdown, Mom declined significantly when she could not see Sonja. However, the improvements began almost immediately once Sonja was allowed to return.
Thanks to Sonja, today Mom is happy, healthy, and doing great. We really appreciate the peace of mind that Sonja provides to our family.

We cannot speak highly enough about Shanna and Generations Concierge - Shanna was the first person we called when we realized our mom needed some help - and thank goodness we did. As our mother slowed down, she became overwhelmed by larger tasks like keeping track of bills and paperwork, organizing her extensive quilt collection, and selling her collectible china. Shanna relieved our mom's frustration by working with her to achieve these tasks. Shanna is smart, empathetic, and respectful and went above and beyond to keep our mother stimulated both mentally and physically! Our mother loved Shanna and truly thought of her as an extra daughter. And we were so happy to know that someone as caring and thoughtful as Shanna was spending time with Mom and helping her achieve her goals. We recommend Shanna 1000% and feel so lucky to have found her.

We recently moved our 92-year-old mom from Los Angeles to an assisted living home in Sacramento. With busy work schedules and being in different cities, our family was stretched and stressed to manage and coordinate such a major move. Shanna at Generations Concierge made the process seamless and gave us a sense of relief and confidence that everything was being addressed. Shanna anticipated all of our needs, including downsizing, donating unneeded items, and setting up the packing and loading of the truck all the way through the move. Shanna was so sensitive and understanding in meeting with Mom and engaging her, and we really appreciated that. The move went off without any problems, and Mom is now settled. Our communications with Shanha were clear and efficient. Shanna shows great compassion and efficiency, and those are not so easy to combine. We appreciate Shanna and Generations Concierge and give our highest endorsement.

What an amazing and professional company this is. I used them to help move my folks from their home in Calabasas to assisted living. Shanna and Gail simply know their stuff. They got it all done, from arranging movers (that were simply unavailable on the dates needed) to a complete sweep out of their home. They helped the move into the new facility with flawless precision.
They had the answer if there was a question from shredding to TV installs to dropping off cable boxes. Yep, you ask them anything — and they have a solution.
I can not be happier or rave enough about them. Five stars are not enough!

When I lost my husband a few years ago, I knew I would have to downsize my 4000 sq ft house. I am an artist and a collector, and my husband was successful in a double career, so there was an enormous amount of memorabilia. I knew I needed help and had no idea where to begin. A good friend recommended Shanna.
Not only is Shanna a lovely, energetic woman — she’s smart as a whip. Shanna just dove in and helped me plan what to do first! She answered my questions and gave me invaluable tips to make the whole process easier — organizing what I was keeping, what I was donating, and what I’d be offering to friends and family, along with ensuring I had the right supplies. Anything I couldn’t do myself, she helped me with, and if I needed physical help moving things, she was there for me. Shanna was even there on packing and moving days to instruct the movers about logistics.
I had no idea about the cost of movers, haulers, auctioneers, etc., so her knowledge and experience saved me a lot of time and money calling around for comparative pricing and reading reviews. She gave me her contacts, which proved invaluable, as they were tried and true, fairly priced, and with excellent work ethics. It was great to have recommendations from someone I trust.
Shanna made what would have been a miserable experience doable and far less stressful. The bonus was working with Shanna, who is delightful. I actually looked forward to our meetings because we had a lot of fun together in the process!

Generations Concierge came into my life at just the right time. My mom has end-stage Alzheimer's disease, and I was overwhelmed with overseeing her care. I asked Shanna to visit the assisted living home where my mom lives for several hours weekly. She provides much-needed companionship while ensuring my mom receives the care she needs. Though my mom has only known Shanna for a few months, she lights up when Shanna walks in. Every visit is pure joy for her. Every month, I look forward to the detailed reports Shanna sends on her visits, and I am so thankful for everything Shanna does. Knowing I'm not the only person looking out for my mom is a huge comfort!

It is difficult to quantify the life-changing support that Sonja has provided my family. Over the past year, she has helped my father over countless logistical, physical, financial, and unusual hurdles associated with aging and dementia. Whatever is needed, Sonja is there for my family and me with a smile. She approaches each task with compassion and a tremendous sense of ownership in getting the job done. Her creative thinking has helped solve many issues, and her ability to think ahead has allowed us to hash out the details of major family decisions. Sonja always has an ear to listen to me. Simply put, I cannot imagine going through this life cycle change without her.

Recently my husband and I moved across the country from NY to California. We are in our 80s, and our children live in southern California. We wanted to be closer to them, but that's a lot of miles, and we knew we would need help. I knew who could give us a hand in New York, but I needed to figure out how to get professional help for the California piece. We knew our children wanted to participate in the process and knew we would need professionals to make this move happen. One daughter knew about Generations Concierge and helped connect us. It made all the difference.
After we met online, we knew we were in good hands. Sonja and Shanna know the area, understand the difficulties we might encounter, and how to overcome them. They were highly knowledgeable about the moving process, knew what would happen on moving day, and were on top of every detail. On a moving day and for several days after, they were here and guided the whole crazy process. We could only have made the move in with their expertise and help. They were on top of everything from navigating the van and interacting with the apartment complex office to making the bed and setting up the kitchen. And most importantly, these two are warm and generous and can laugh at the crazy things that happen. Their attitude was contagious and helped all of us.
Moving a long distance is about more than move-in day details. It's also about getting to know the medical and other community resources needed to recreate one's life in a new area. And again, their knowledge of professional resources is invaluable. Sonja and Shanna provided the contacts and names needed to restart our lives here in California.
They were always" on it," from helping to arrange furniture to setting up our TV and internet to hanging pictures and doing errands they were always "on it.". Their work and their support made the entire process go so much more smoothly than we anticipated. We can only imagine going through this process with them.
We highly recommend Generations Concierge if you are considering a move.

When I hung up the telephone after my first conversation with Shanna during the COVID quarantine, It was as if a 2,000-pound weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I am the only child of an elderly, widowed mother who lives by herself in a large apartment complex. My mom is not computer savvy, and life increasingly demands online competency – especially during a pandemic! I worried my mom was isolated and adrift, and I could not help her. The day-to-day worry about my mom, the increasing demands of working from home, and the challenges of caring for my own family during the pandemic were all too much!
Enter Shanna. She has helped my mother with her technology by helping her download apps on her iPad. Shanna showed her how to use ZOOM to keep up with her social activities, now held remotely during the pandemic. Before I found Shanna, even having things delivered to my mom by Amazon was a problem due to the size and setup of her building. Now, I have items delivered to Shanna, who drops them by. Shanna has even been looking into different food delivery options for my mom, which my mom has been asking me about for a year, but I just needed more bandwidth to undertake. Today, when I got a text from the pharmacy that my mom's prescription was ready, Shanna just zipped over and picked it up, saving me the time and trouble of getting it delivered by the pharmacy.
Shanna has been nothing short of a godsend. I only wish I had called her sooner! Shanna makes it so that I can be in two places simultaneously. We communicate by phone, email, and text; she can be my eyes and ears and provide cheery companionship for my mom.
It is hard to know what to do for an elderly parent living alone who does not need full-time care but could use a helping hand occasionally. Shanna and Generations Concierge fill that void. Shanna is trustworthy, licensed and bonded, and most of all, capable.
I couldn't recommend Shanna and Generations Concierge any more enthusiastically.

I met Shanna by chance by walking to the elevator at The Village of Sherman Oaks. It was friendship at first glance. Living 1200 miles away from my parents presented its own set of obstacles.
Mom and Dad, in their 90's, required outside assistance for weekly shopping. Generations took care of marketing, doctor appointments taking and picking up laundry, and anything they requested Shanna and I keep in close contact as she is hands-on and eyes-on more than I could be. We checked in with each other weekly via phone and email. Mom and Dad love her and trust her, as do I.
Shanna, with her gentle way, endeared her to my dad, especially when shopping for peanut butter!
Their bookkeeping and communication are meticulous. There is no question of trust, care, and compassion.
